White Wonders

Lydia awoke and came in our room and looked out the window in wonder and excitement. How precious, the awe of a child towards our God's creation...and so a snow day began.
Nathan was ready to attack the snow right after breakfast, Mommy and Daddy needed to finish our coffee and a few other things much to his disappointment. We did soon venture out and it was great snow for just about everything...

Oh the joys of eating snow
It was a great day!

My Two Front Teeth

I Love when kids loose both front teeth at the same time! And this one has a story. Nathan can not leave loose teeth alone and Sunday night he was a wiggling and a jiggling his tooth, which was bleeding but still had a little bit to go. He asked Daddy to pull it but neither he nor I had the stomach to do it so Poppy said to bring him on over to his place. @0 minutes later he had a tooth pulled out with pliers the old fashion way...but by a dentist of course:) Nathan was happy and didn't flinch!

It's Great To Be Eight

I can not believe we have an eight year old in the house! Nathan seems to be a foot taller, his face is changing, I can see him at times maturing and my baby is growing up. I'm proud of him, all he has learned, how he can be a peace maker, how he is trying to please the Lord and how he loves to give.
He also loves Legos and loves the Lego Movie so he asked for an Emmet birthday cake. We invited his good friend Eliot for the party and Poppy and Grammy came and it was a great celebration!

Silly Pictures

O.K. so this is Spiderman Big Belly...I'm not sure how he was created but Nathan has dressed up like this for years probably and if you live in this house you will hear from Lydia at least once a week..."Hey Nathan, lets play Spiderman Big Belly" and then Nathan comes down looking like this:)
And we tried something for Crazy Hair Day for Awana...this isn't what she ended up doing but I thought it was cute anyway:)

Christmas

Celebrating Jesus's birthday, Christmas 2014. We had a really nice relaxing Christmas. We woke up and had our breakfast cake for Jesus and then opened up gifts. These two pills were super excited to give each other their gifts they bought. I think they did good job choosing.

Their play outfits were a hit too.
And these were their favorite gifts.

Lots of family time all weekend, it was great to be with Steve's family all week and the kids had a great time with their cousins.

Thanksgiving 2014

We traveled to Gramma and Papas for a great Thanksgiving break. Spent so much time with the cousins and Aunt and Uncle.

Great times with a Great Gramma

And we took some senior pictures of an awesome nephew. We froze, well he did more than us, but it was worth it. Had a great time while we froze too! (except for the minor car crash)

So much to be thankful for. God is good and leads us and guides us through all of life..until we meet Him at our true home.

A Flower Girl

Lydia Got to be a flower girl for her Cousins wedding in November. She was very excited, especially as the day drew neared. She did great at the rehearsal but do to her excitement, she was up at 4:30AM on the wedding day and so her day began...as did mine:)
Here she is with her cousin Noelle
And with all the girls.
And with the beautiful bride!
Well, about 2 hours before the wedding she had had enough and every time she saw me she would cry and want me to hold her:( So her time came...and yes, she saw me in the back of the church and threw some flowers and came running to me! After Abby went up to the alter Lydia wanted to go and join the girls and she did this so well, stood up front the whole wedding like the beautiful flower girl she was:)

Announcement

Our trip to Philidelphia to take the last step of our dossier paperwork. We had to go to the immigration office and we decided to take the kids and make a day of it. We had a great time seeing some history and we went to a mint factory which the kids enjoyed.
Now our paperwork is off to Africa and we wait and wait to see who God has for our family:)
