We took a nice long hike in one of our favorite woods with some friends. We saw some creatures and enjoyed being silly with each other.

Field Trips and Grandparents
Gramma and Papa came down and watched the kids so Daddy and Mommy could get away for a bit to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. The kids had a great time while we were away and then they stayed a while longer when we came back. We took some day trips together. First to the Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly pavilion where we learned a ton about insects and reptiles. And then we took a trip to Fort McHenry for Papa and learned a ton about our history.
And of course there had to be an ice cream picture somewhere. Thanks Papa and Gramma for coming to visit! We love it when you come!
This Guy
It's been 15 years that I have been the wife of this man and with him the years keep getting better. I didn't know him hardly at all when we were first married but yet I knew him so well because I saw his character and that hasn't changed but has only been refined through the Lord. This man loves Jesus, is humble and listens to the Lord, wants to grow in the knowledge of God. This man loves me, loves encouraging me, taking care of me, pursuing me. This man loves his children, loves being with them, guides them, prays for them, is silly with them. I love living life with you Steve, I love being your wife!

Help
I have been getting more help around the house lately and while they might complain at first, usually we have a good time when it's something we can do together. I know I have a better time:)
Dorney Park
Another great time at Dorney Park. It is such a blessing to our family that Steve's job takes all families for free, plus gives us free food the whole day! Wow! We all had so much fun...except for the Ferris wheel...We all really were excited to ride it but when we got on and then they stopped us at the top to let others on...not so fun anymore. But definitely we will have a memory to laugh at as a family:)
So it was a cool 65 degree day and Mom did not even pack my swim suit so Daddy was in charge at the water park!
Episode IIIV
I have started a Star Wars epidemic over here...
Lydia and Nathan are infatuated with Star Wars and play imagine all the time so with her birthday right around the corner what theme do you think she will pick?
And she is our Rey from The Force Awakens...I think she makes a cuter Rey then Daisy Ridley
And here we have Rey and Finn
My baby is eight...Mommy is singing a sad, sad, song...I love her to pieces and more.
Solar Eclipse
I was a little nervous to watch the solar eclipse because of all the warnings and how kids don't want to listen to all the warnings...but we did anyway and I enjoyed it probably more then the kids. The cereal box with the pin-hole worked amazingly well. I was so excited and kept making the kids come and look
You Can Bank On It
Nathan and Lydia signed up for their first bank account...(which you can do even if you have a winter scarf tied around your head in the dead of summer).
I Love that Smile
Her daddy came home with a corsage for his beautiful daughter, who was waiting for him in her finest dress. Her face lit up as he put the corsage on her wrist and they were off enjoying a daddy daughter date.
How to Sleep in a Bathtub
You can actually google how to sleep in a bathtub, did you know that?
"If you have house guests or if you are staying in a hotel room with more people than there are beds, one option might be to sleep in the bathtub. With a little planning and the right supplies, it might not be too uncomfortable." -says wikiHow who then proceeds to explain how in 9 steps.
Or you could just learn from our dog.
1. Your Hot
2. Climb in and lay down on the cool ceramic floor
Skittles
Steve surprised me one morning suggesting we get a bird....I had no complaints and neither did the kids. We picked out a latino albino parakeet and named his Solo at first. He's a beautiful bird but he is sooo afraid of everything! And so hard to tame. We actually changed his name 2 weeks later to Skittles because he is so skittish. I sure hope he warms up to us sometime, but we still love him. I love his singing.
The Swing
The Swing
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside—
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown—
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!
Art
Lydia took an art class this past summer and was challenged to try new things. She loves to draw and color and I love to see her interest grow.
Friendship
These guys took over when Mommy was done trying to help this friend learn to ride her bike. I thought it was so dear as they worked together and encouraged Grace along the way.
A Date with Mommy
Nathan and I got to go out on a date together...can you say Yum! This has Nathan written all over it!
Harvy Cedars
We took a family trip to Harvy Cedars Bible Conference and had a great time together. We listened to some good teaching, had family style meals which was great for me! Enjoyed the ocean, went kayaking and paddle boarding and of course had ice cream!
SO peaceful for a couple more minutes
The water was so rough, current so strong and Nathan wanted to get out to a sand bar. Does this look relaxing to you? Um, not to me! I never made it to the sand bar because after dragging these two for a good 20 minutes in the rough sea, Lydia felt a crab we think and then with legs wrapped around me in shear panic we headed to shore.
Nathan wanted to try out paddle boarding in the bay...he did really well.
