Family Vacation (Part 1)

We had a wonderful time during Steve's shutdown week and are very thankful to the Lord for giving us such wonderful memories with my family. The first part of the week we headed north and stayed with my Gramma for a night in Corry PA. We hadn't been to her home since before we had kids. We all had a good time and were able to see some of her sisters as well.
After saying good-bye to my Gramma we headed to Erie for a small gathering with some of the girls I graduated high school with. I haven't seen them in over 15 years. It was very nice to see them and meet some of their children.
After lunch with my friends we traveled to Ohio to stay with by brother's family for a couple days and boy did we have a good time there. The kids played and played and played and ran and ran and then played some more. Lydia loved playing in the sand making "pizza", LOVED Emily's bunny, and loved playing with her cousins. However her Uncle Rob is still not a favorite on her list:(
Nathan enjoyed everything with water, everything with his cousins, and yes he enjoyed his Uncle Rob...especially the tractor ride he took the kids on. (Lydia would have no part of that.) We visited a train that was parked at a loading station although I don't think we really were supposed to be there but...the kids had fun.
And this was one of my highlights. July 4th night we didn't have fireworks but Nathan had a blast eating smore's and hanging out with his cousins playing with...fire?? No, no, it was those things that you light and they start coiling like a snake...I have no idea what they are called but this 4 year old was captivated.
more to come
