March-ing right along

It's been a while since I have last posted, I think the month of March has been a long and challenging end to Winter. I feel all I have done is chase around two monkeys in a cage:) The end is in site as Spring is in the air and the buds are there, just waiting, waiting to pop, waiting for warm air to be sent by our Lord and so are we:) Well, as we have been waiting:
Nathan has started swimming lessons at Albright College. It seems perfect for him, not a lot of distractions, very small class and he is really enjoying it. I think the thing he likes best though is that Daddy takes him:) He has also started to do family chores and is getting an allowance now (People should really warn Mom's that giving their children chores is actually more work for Mommy:), it has been fun to watch him enjoy being able to give some of his money to Jesus.
And Lydia is such a toddler! and such a girl:) This is a picture of her winter "fower". For months now on our walks she asks me to pick one up for her and she carries it all the way home. If you walk into our home you would probably find a couple on the floor:) She is talking so well, putting 2-3 words together often. She is still by far my messiest eater making Mommy more aware of some of her idols:) She does not like anything on the floor that remotely looks like a bug and she has a great liking to "idewalk" and will run full speed on any she gets to "walk" on (which is why she right now has a scabbed nose).
And while we are rejoicing that Spring is "here" we also get to rejoice that Daddy's mandatory Saturday overtime might not be every week now!! Hurray!! It has been a loooong stretch since last August when it began, it will be sooo nice to have him home this Saturday:) Thank you Jesus for this blessing and for giving us a season of Spring!
