Rocket Time

NASA and the U.S. military launched a record payload of 29 satellites from a Virginia spaceport Tuesday night (Nov. 19) on a mission that created a spectacular sight. They sent a Orbital Sciences Minotaur 1 rocket into orbit from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility and Mid Atlantic Regional Spaceport on Wallops Island, Va.,.

We Bundled up everyone and went to the hill at our park right by our house. We waited for about 45 minutes and then it was launched. It took us about 10-15 seconds to see it from the lift-off time...it was pretty cool. Lydia covered her ears in case it was loud:)..She was a little disappointed. Nathan has been an astronaut all day today, he was not disappointed:) It was definitely a pretty cool experience for Daddy and I, something we will never forget!
