Thanksgiving. Great Gramma fell a couple days before Thanksgiving and broke her hip again. We all were not sure what this would mean but we were thankful that we were coming home to see her in the hospital and spend Thanksgiving with her.
She was pretty happy to see us and was her spunky self. We visited her every day we were home, so very thankful for this time we had, not knowing they would be the last....isn't she just beautiful!
We also had a great time visiting cousins! How Nathan and Lydia love their cousins!
And our last night with Gramma we got permission to sneak Heidi in to visit with Gram...she adored Heidi even though Heidi could have knocked her down with one wag of her tail. When Heidi walked in to her room her face lit up.
The following morning my Dad and I went to see her before we had to leave back home to PA. On our way to the hospital we got a call from the Doctor to let us know that she slipped into a coma and was unresponsive. Dad and I rushed upstairs and were able to hold her hand and pray for and with her as she passed out of this life into her glorious life everlasting with her Savior.
You were ready Gramma but we were not. I miss you so much!...until we meet again as you told me during one of our last visits.
