Happy Birthday Nathan

Our little boy turned three a couple days ago, the thing he was most excited about was to blow out his candles. We had a Thomas the Train party for him and Steve's family came for the celebrations. Nathan did enjoy blowing out the candles and all the train gifts but you should have seen his eyes light up when he opened his drum set. For the longest time he has been pretending he had drums with pencil sticks and chairs and now he has his own set. The first song he sang while playing was his favorite ~ Solid Rock. It was difficult to pry him away at the end of the night:) He has such a love for music and we are excited to see how this develops in years down the road. We love this little gift from the Lord and are so thankful for him!

The next morning we left for Ohio to visit with my family. The traveling went well and as always the time spent with them was sweet. Nathan got two guitars, one from his Gramma and Papa and one from his Aunt and Uncle and again his eyes lit up. He was able to play along with his cousin Nico during family devotion time. Another highlight of the trip ~ in the wee hours of the last morning there Nathan was able to crawl up into Gramma and Papas bed and snuggle with them ~ thank you Gramma and Papa for all the memories we are taking with us, we all had such a great time together.
